Cheongsim International Elementary School
Korean existing education tends to be a coercive structure for the entrance into a school of higher level. The educational aim of Cheongshim is cultivating global talented students. We suggest a spatial composition which can change the existing education system. Our aim is to make an eco-friendly educational space, the open educational space making creative thoughts, giving the power of execution and a 3-dimension educational space through diverse academic exchanges.
Cheongshim School, we suggest, will have an organic circulation system that adopts the topographic level and shape. It will have a close relationship with the Theological School and the International Middle and High school all working as teaching facilities. Systems for the Pre-school, the Playground and the Elementary School are all bonded closely to nature. The creative loop will be a sustainable tool, which will hold exchangeable educational programs.
The frame of Green Ring has an outdoor green agora, decks and a playground. It works as a dream ring connecting educational contents such as learning, exercising, art, nature and culture. The building and the landscape are not designed separately but integrated to make the environment closest to nature. The outdoor deck and the green deck are planned near to each classroom to take the advantages of ventilation and the skylight. In this building, the eco-friendly plans are the most important theory that combines nature and imagination. It will develop to an education landscape, green skin and a sustainable program. They will be vocabulary consisting of pleasant educational space. Dream Trio Courtyard will bring the harmony of the outdoors, educational quality and the amenity of school life. In the whole loop, there is a small ring for the Pre-school and the building for the 1st and 2nd Grades, a medium ring for the building for the 3rd to 6th Grades and a centric playground. The 3 courtyards are not existing independently but more connected to each other and nature.
